I have an interest in exploring how dance, movement and drawing can be combined. Looking at how movement is recorded by choreologists and through other channels I have been attempting to capture human movement in the absence of a live performance.
Through animation film, printmaking and painting to capture space and how the body cuts through it I would like to promote the recording of our ability to ‘not not move’. Using images to code and translate an aspect of our lives that is ephemeral and constantly self-erasing I hope to put this language into a wider arena and to catch those who move.
