KONSTRUNDAN I MAJORNA

Konstrundan i Majorna, or KIMGBG, is a non-profit association with approximately 100 members. Each event has between 50 and 75 artists who open their studios to the public. Central to the Konstrundan is the group exhibition, where you get an overview of this year’s participating artists. With the help of our map you can plan out a route through Majorna to visit the studios of the artists of your choice, but of course it is just as much fun to just wander around and let yourself be surprised!

25 years ago in Majorna (an artist-dense district in Gothenburg) a group of artists decided to invite the public to their open studios for a weekend. Over the years the “Artwalk in Majorna” (Konstrundan i Majorna) has grown into an esteemed and anticipated event. It’s a great chance for the art-interested public to wander around during the weekend among the many studios, enjoy good art and beautiful handicrafts, and meet and interact with the artists.

In order to become a member of the association you are required to prove your artistic merits through an application, and your studio should of course be situated in Majorna. Applications, which are done through this website, open in september each year.
